And get this—the first wave of Matter 1.5 cameras from Aqara, Eve, and Ulticam/Xthings drops in early 2026, all built to work seamlessly with SmartThings. Thanks to the Works With SmartThings program, more brands can jump in easily, no crazy coding required. This leap forward is powered by SmartThings Hubs, with SmartThings Hubs enabling full Matter 1.5 camera support right out of the box. The update officially rolls out in December 2025, marking a December 2025 rollout.
