There are many smart home blogs on the web but I’ve narrowed it down to my top 5.
Smarthome.com
The folks at Smarthome have been doing the home automation thing since 1992, so they know a thing or two about the subject. Their website has been a home automation staple on the Internet since 1995. Smarthome.com really wants to be your one-stop online shop for all things home automation; its range of product choices is impressive. However, there is one potential sticking point: Smarthome.com is owned by SmartLabs, Inc., which manufactures its own line of home automation products.
onehoursmarthome.com
This site teaches you how to automate your home. They teach you how to turn your home into a smart home to save you time, money and live the good life. My favorite section is their Sonos speaker reviews category. As a Playbar user myself I can learn how I can integrate it with my other smart devices.
digitized.house
Digitized House, founded in 2015, is the guide to the Connected Home. They help global consumers make their Connected Homes smarter, healthier, safer, and more sustainable through streams of original content. My personal favorite feature is the ability to sort by specfic Ecosystem. I’m an Apple HomeKit user myself so this function is extremely useful.
homecontrolsblog.com
Home Controls offers Inside A Smart Home, which gives a visual layout of a typical smart home. It’s a really neat document that lists major areas of home automation, labels, and locations in the home that are affected by them, and gives an explanation of how technologies can benefit you. This diagram makes the concept of home automation and what one can accomplish with it a visible reality.
thesmartcave.com
They do the research and find the great products so you don’t have to. Their goal is to help you find the information you want as quickly as possible. That way, you can feel confident you are making an informed purchase without having to spend all day rummaging through countless reviews.
