Factory reset vs exclusion

To reset your Z-Wave switch to its factory settings, you need to go into the app. This will erase all of the data that’s been saved to your device. In short, it’s a factory reset.

Is there any way to reset your ZWave light switches without the manual?

When it comes to Z-Wave smart switches, there is no way to reset them without the manual. You’ll need one primary and one add-on switch to do this. Simply unplug the primary and plug in the add-on, wait for it to reboot, then proceed with your reset.

One Z-Wave primary and two add-ons are needed for 4-way. These devices allow controlling your lights remotely using a smartphone app.

Why is the name of my Z-Wave light switch different from the one in the manual?

The name of each device in the manual contains a serial number that uniquely identifies it. The serial number on your switch will be different from the one in the manual.
