Do you ever wonder what Alexa is doing when you switch off your Show? If so, then this handy guide will be perfect for you.
Just follow the steps below to make sure that she doesn’t go crazy and start playing music on her own during the night!
Now let’s get started:
How to restart Alexa Show?
If your Alexa Show isn’t working correctly, you may need to restart it. This is a simple process that can be done in just a few minutes.
To restart your device, press and hold the “Alexa” key on the speaker’s top for 10 seconds until you hear a beeping noise. Release the key and then press and hold it again with the volume buttons to power it back on or reboot it. The instructions on the screen will tell you what to do next.
How to turn on/off Alexa Show?
If you want to turn off your Alexa Show, you can do a few things. First, if you’re going to mute the microphone on the device, check the light ring, and if it is muted, press the “unmute microphone” button. If Amazon Echo privacy concerns you, make sure that you mute the microphone before using it in public places or around people who don’t know about Alexa’s voice recognition capabilities.
To completely turn off your device, hold down the power button until it turns off. Another thing to note is that if you have an Echo speaker, which is not a first-generation, hold down the reset button and wait for it to turn off. Hold down the microphone and volume buttons together for 20 seconds if you have a second-generation Echo. When the ring turns orange, release them, and your device will be reset. With all generations of Amazon Echo, hold down the Action button for 25 seconds until the light turns solid orange, then off again when it changes back to blue/dark purple.
The mute and volume down buttons on an Echo Show can also be used to reset it–the Amazon logo will appear onscreen once it’s been reset.
