If you want to add wiz lights to Alexa, then this article is for you. This guide will show you how it’s done and explain the steps involved. We’ll also cover getting started with your wiz light system at home.
Can Alexa control WiZ lights?
Yes, you can use Alexa to adjust brightness, control lights, etc. Follow our steps below to get you set up.
Connect directly with the app
The first step of linking your Amazon account to WiZ is locating the Alexa skill in the Home section of the WiZ app.
– Once you have located this skill, click on it and follow the instructions to link your account. If you are not already signed in, you will need to sign in to your Amazon account again.
– The next step is adding devices within the skill itself. This can be done by pressing “Add New Device” at the top right-hand corner of Alexa’s interface (you may also see some other options, including Groups or Routines). Next, press “Discover Devices.”
Use the WiZ App
To set up WiZ Smart Home, first, open the Amazon Alexa application on your phone. Then go to the Skills tab and search for “WiZ.”
– Tap on the “Enable” button to enable the skill.
The free, easy-to-use WiZ app lets you manage all your Philips Hue lights and accessories from anywhere. No more going room to room to turn off the lights — control them individually or as a group with just a tap of your finger. You can also set up timers so that on certain days at specific times, your lights will automatically switch on or off.
Use the Alexa App
Now that you have the WiZ skill, you need to enable it. To do this, go to Skills & Games in your app menu, then search for “WiZ” and select it. Select Enable Skill on the right-hand side of the screen. This will bring up some more information about how to use Alexa with WiZ; just review those and select OK at the bottom when finished. You should now be taken back to a page showing all your skills; WiZ should show as enabled (the checkbox is selected). If it isn’t allowed, click on the switch next to its name so that it turns blue
– Now reload Your Smart Home Screen by clicking on Menu>Smart Home>Reload Smart Home Dashboard. When it has filled, scroll down until you see “WiZ.” Click down again on “Device” and press ‘Connect Device.’
This will connect Alexa with our device, so we are ready for step 3!
Integrate Mannually
To enable the WiZ Smart Home skill, go to your Amazon Alexa application and follow the instructions in Step 2 below.
– Android: Tap on the Settings tab, select Integrations, then tap on Amazon Alexa and click “Set up the integration manually.”
– Enable the WiZ Smart Home skill with the toggle button.
Step 2 – In your Amazon Alexa Application: Go to Menu > Skills. Search for “WiZ” or say “Alexa, ask WiZ … “. Click Enable Skill. Confirm that you want to allow communication with your devices by saying yes when prompted. Could you give it a name (e.g., Kitchen Lights)? Repeat these steps for all of your smart home devices!
Now you know how to connect WiZ to Alexa!
